The main advantage of DVD videos is the fact that you can play them on various devices, besides a computer. If you have a collection of videos and you wish to play them on a DVD player, you can use a specialized utility to burn them on a DVD, in the appropriate format. One of these utilities is DeepDVD Movie. It allows you to import videos in almost any format, arrange them in any order you want, create menus and more.

The software is available in a Pro version, as well as a free one, which comes with less features. It works on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7 and it can be installed in no time. The hardware requirements are modest and you don't have to install any prerequisite tools.

DeepDVD Movie's features are organized in several sections of the interface, in which you can import and arrange your videos, edit a DVD menu, create labels and burn the videos on a DVD. The software is quite efficient when it comes to importing videos. Instead of dumping a large heap of media files on the user interface, you have to create one or more films. Once you create a film, you may import the media files you need and place them in a timeline, in separate channels. The software allows you to trim your videos and soundtracks, join them with others and more.

The menu editor is simple and easy to use. You can insert text, shapes, images from local folders or captured video frames. Any inserted item can be linked to a film. When you select an object, its characteristics will be displayed next to the menu editing area, where you can choose one of your films in a drop menu. You can insert a picture and use it as the menu's background, but you can also use a video for the same purpose. All you have to do is import a video file and trim it if you need to, in the same menu editing section, but on a different tab.

DeepDVD Movie provides similar editing tools for labels. You can insert text, shapes, images and other elements over a simple representation of a disc. The software allows you to access separate editors, where you may create labels for DVDs, CDs, mini or slim CDs. When everything is ready, you may access the final section of the interface, to start burning a DVD. It is also possible to erase re-writable discs. When launched, the software will check if a disc is loaded. If you don't have a CD or DVD loaded into your computer, DeepDVD Movie will create a virtual image, instead of burning a disc.

Pros

The software allows you to arrange your videos however you want and trim or join them. You can also create menus with video backgrounds and labels for CDs and DVDs.

Cons

The user interface may behave strangely on the 64-bit Windows 7 edition. With its various customization options, DeepDVD Movie lets you decide how your video DVDs should look and feel.
